Side-Deck Cleaning
Side-deck cleanliness is examined in two stages. These are as follows:
- Board Cleaning: While cleaning the board, a brush with a soft tip is used. With this brush, cleaning is done in the right-left direction or only up-down. Some people prefer to clean the side with sea water. Boat owners do this by rubbing them by hand with the help of a boat or canoe.
- Deck Cleaning: While cleaning the deck, hard brushes and undesirable yacht cleaning materials should not be preferred. Because excessive brush strokes damage the paint of the deck. The deck, which is covered with wooden material, is difficult to clean. Ship deck coating compound is used to protect the wood. Thus, the wood material is protected and insects are prevented from coming. In addition, the protection of the wooden material prevents water from reaching the deck.
What Should Be Considered During Side-Deck Cleaning?
- Cleaning takes place without the use of a hard brush.
- Care must be taken not to remove the paint of the yacht or ship.
- It is necessary to use cleaning materials suitable for the area to be cleaned.
- In order to avoid infestation, spraying is required from time to time.
